Boo!  Loenne’s first Halloween!

She dressed up as a  . . . . . . . pioneer woman!

Here she is,  tired after a long day of picking rocks out of the field.
have a break, you deserve it.

have a break, you deserve it.

My little sweetie was six months old yesterday, can you believe it? I can’t.  Time squeaks by and yet before I can say “Monday”, it’s Saturday.
Teeny tiny little slave to the land. The strife and the hardships you shall endure in the name of prosperity. May your root cellar always be full, and your calouses always be tough.
My love of the pioneer shall never die.  A few years ago, I dressed up as a pioneer for Halloween too. Although, in keeping with what the holiday has become for a twenty something female- I was a slutty pioneer. Ha ha!! Also known as, The Original Canadian HO!! Big haha! That joke will never get old.

Aw, I know just how you feel Loenne. I was picking rocks last week.

  2. I still used to see women dressed like that in northern Manitoba in the 70s. They were usually making cabbage rolls.

Not surprising, my Mom made me that dress in 1981- back then it wasn’t a costume.
I love me a good cabbage roll.
