The last episode of Project Runway Canada where Jason made that dress with all the snaps has me a little concerned. The concern is more to do with his critics than the fact that he is obviously stealing my ideas. See, one or two of the pieces from my spring 09 collection- pieces that stores ordered and I am producing- are pretty much all about the transformative power of snaps.
The dresses and tops however aren’t made of christmas green polyester satin, so that’s working for me. The Butikofer Snappers are made of either silk, or linen and have a real sporty vibe.
I just hope that people don’t associate this brilliant 4 in one dress- Eco Nouveau- I like to call it, with that green monsterpiece. This dress is actually a snaptacular investment for a woman who likes to make her clothing work for her and her fat days/skinny days/lazy days/sexy days. In these economic times I like to think that makes sense. People won’t even know you’re wearing the same dress 4 days in a row.
So for anyone who is concerned with the environment and/or the economy these days (could that be you?) I am delivering said snaptacular masterpieces this week!
